Net loss of Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port down 15.5% to RUR 23.3 mln in Q1 09

In the first quarter of 2009, net loss of Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port OJSC fell by 15.45%, year-on-year, to RUR 23.252 mln, the company officially states.

In the reported period the company’s earnings increased by 7.2%, year-on-year, to RUR 148.987.

Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port is a multi-profile stevedoring company operating at the port of Archangelsk. It is specialized in transshipment of general cargo, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metal, fertilizers, heavy equipment and dry bulk cargo. ACS’s facilities enable it to handle 4.5 million tonnes of cargo per year. In 2008, Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port handled 1.763.9 million tonnes of cargo.
