Plan of a mega terminal complex approved

Wuhan’s plan of a mega terminal complex has been approved by the state government. The city is going to invest more than CNY5 billion ($ 731 million) on the facility and start construction this year.

After completion, the complex will be able to handle more than 10 million TEUs, or more than 100 million tonnes, every year.

According to Exim News Service, the port complex construction comprises 18 projects this year, which include 17 terminals and a bridge connecting the Beijing-Kowloon, Wuhan-Kowloon railway and also the Daqing-Guangzhou-Beijing and Wuhan-Ezhou highway.
