CKYH Alliance to rationalize Far East – U.S. East Coast services

CKYH (Coscon, K LINE, Yang Ming, Hanjin Shipping) Alliance announced today that it is rationalizing its Far East – U.S. East Coast services beginning April, 2009. CKYH Alliance believes this service rationalization will enable them to provide customers with more comprehensive service covering most ports in Far East and U.S. East Coast regions.
Meanwhile, in addition to the current routes, CKYH Alliance is launching a new service, AWE-5 [AWN]. AWE-5 [AWN] service was operated on temporary basis in the past however; the Alliance decided to run it regularly in order to continue providing top quality service to its customers.
 
AWE-1 [AWH]
Port rotation: Qingdao – Ningbo – Shanghai – Pusan – New York –  Wilmington – Savannah – Pusan – Qingdao
Vessels deployed: 8 x 3726 TEU by Hanjin Shipping
 
AWE-2 [AWC]
Port rotation: Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Yokohama – Savannah – New York ? Boston – Qingdao
Vessels deployed: 8 x 3600 TEU by Coscon
 
AWE-3 [AWY]
Port rotation: Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantian – Pusan – Savannah – Charleston – Wilmington – Kaohsiung
Vessels deployed: 8 x 3300 TEU by Yang Ming
 
AWE-4 [AWK]
Port rotation: Singapore – Shekou – Hong Kong – Yantian – Norfolk – New York – Halifax – Singapore
Vessels deployed: 8-9 x 3850 TEU by Ў°KЎ± LINE
 
AWE-5 [AWN]
Port rotation: Kaohsiung – Yantian – Shanghai – Pusan – New York – Norfolk – Savannah – Kaohsiung
Vessels deployed: 8 x 3300 TEU by Yang Ming, Hanjin Shipping
