Velaro E celebrates its first birthday in Spain

People in Spain are furthermore enthusiastic about the Velaro E high speed train made by Siemens. According to the latest statistics of the Spanish Ministry of Transport, ridership has tripled due to use of the new high speed train. Since the Velaro E was commissioned on February 20, 2008, a total of 2.3 million passengers have traveled on the high speed AVE route between Madrid and Barcelona. By this the market share of the Velaro E on this line increased from 11.8% to 48.2%.
