ATLANTA's United Parcel Service (UPS) has announced that it is serving 3,000 new American zip codes under its UPS Next Day Air Early AM service which offers guaranteed 8:30am delivery.

UPS says that these additional zip codes makes the company's early bird service the one with the most addresses at more than 23,000 zip codes.

Early morning delivery is crucial for customers who have urgent deadlines or critical shipments across time zones, from hospitals needing supplies in time for morning surgeries to lawyers needing signed documents for legal proceedings, said UPS marketing chief Dale Hayes.

UPS's largest international air cargo hub, Worldport, is located at Louisville International Airport. Louisville also is home to the company's UPS Airlines division.
