Henan province's largest air cargo terminal starts operation

THE new cargo terminal of Xinzheng International Airport, which is situated in central China Henan province's capital city Zhengzhou, has started operation.

This is the largest air cargo terminal in Henan province, according to the report from Xinhua.

The reconstructed area totals 27,051 square metres while the expanded area covers 15,465 square metres. The facility can handle 150,000 tonnes a year, and is divided into several areas according to function, warehousing, cargo handling and customs clearance.

The warehousing area is equipped with rolling cargo racks and has set up dedicated warehouses for temperature-sensitive, perishable and also dangerous goods.

The terminal is equipped with a 24-hour surveillance system to ensure cargo security.
