Braman joins barge carrier

American Commercial Lines Inc. said Bill Braman has joined the company as vice president and general manager of transportation services.



In his new role with the Jeffersonville, Ind.-based barge line, Braman will oversee vessel operations, fleet operations, logistics services, maintenance operations, safety and operational development.



Braman had a long career at CSX, most recently working as division manager for CSX Transportation, where he was responsible for operational productivity and customer service for the U.s. Northeast.
