NYK names new president

 

 Nippon Yusen Kaisha has appointed Yasumi Kudo to president, effective April 2009.

   Kudo, who currently serves as NYK's executive vice president, succeeds Koji Miyahara. Miyahara has been promoted to board chairman, and Takao Kusakan, the incumbent chairman, becomes director, board counselor.

   Kudo, 56, joined NYK in 1975.
