ACL, Grimaldi offer new service to Beirut

2008-12-19 00:00:00

Atlantic Container Line and its parent company, the Grimaldi Group, said this week they have begun a roll-on/roll-off service from the United States and Canada to Beirut, Lebanon.

Cargo will be transferred between ACL and Grimaldi vessels at a Grimaldi-owned terminal in Hamburg that is used by both carriers.

The weekly service offers fixed-day calls by ACL at Dundalk-Baltimore (Thursdays), PMT-Norfolk (Fridays), FAPS-New York (Tuesdays) and Fairview Cove-Halifax (Mondays).

ACL will issue Grimaldi through bills-of-lading to Beirut for automobiles, SUVs and other non-containerized cargo, including breakbulk, trucks, construction equipment and heavy machinery.
