Beijing gives approval to Chongqing Cuntan Free Trade Zone

CHINA's State Council has given approval to Chongqing to set up a free trade zone at its Cuntan Port Area, Xinhua reported.



The facility will occupy 8.3 square kilometres and be separated into two functional areas respectively for ocean shipping and air transport.



The ocean shipping area will cover an area of six square kilometres. The air transport area will be divided into two sections. Section 1 will cover 1.04 square kilometres while section 2 will cover 1.3 square kilometres.
