Cargo transportation by Caspian Shipping Company up 12.6% in Jan-Sep 08

In January-September 2008, transport vessels of Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company carried 8.540.9 million tonnes of cargo (+12.6%, year-on-year), PortNews IAA learnt from the company’s press center. In the reported period, tankers carried 5.776.5 million tonnes, ferries – 1.316 million tonnes and dry cargo carriers – 1.448.4 million tonnes of cargo.

Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company is the largest carrier of oil cargo in the Caspian Sea.
