CMA CGM 11,000-TEU ships makes maiden call at Yantian

CMA CGM latest supersize vessel has made it maiden call at the Yantian International Container Terminal in the Port of Shenzhen.

The 11,000-TEU CMA CGM Vela is part of the French carrier's FAL1 service between the Far East and Europe, along with seven other CMA CGM vessels and a Hyundai ship. CMA CGM, which uses Yantian for three other Asia/Europe services, will add more mega vessels to the trade as they come online, the port said in a statement. The FAL1 service calls at Yantian on Saturdays.
