Agreement on building of new terminals in Malmö

At the beginning of November 2008, it is expected that a contractor agreement will be signed for the construction of new terminals in Norra Hamnen, Malmö, provided that negotiations with a building contractor can be concluded in October.

The construction project is CMP's biggest investment by far, and is being carried out in co-operation with Malmö Municipality. The end result will be a new terminal for ferry goods and a new container and combi-terminal in Norra Hamnen.

As an added bonus, CMP will receive more space for new cars in Malmö's Freeport, as well as room for a couple of cruise ships in Nyhamnen, where Nordö-Link is currently located. The plan is for the new terminals to enter service in 2010.
