Horizon Lines Buys Aero Logistics

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Shipping and logistics provider Horizon Lines Inc. said Wednesday it has bought Aero Logistics, a third-party logistics provider.The company did not disclose the terms of the deal.

Aero will become part of Horizon's new logistics business, Horizon Logistics, Horizon Lines said.

Aero designs and manages custom freight shipping and special handling programs for customers.

Horizon Lines shares rose 39 cents to close at $29.70.
