Bananas’ Paradise

According to TradeWinds, the 628,000-cbf Duncan Island (built 1993) was travelling from Antwerp to Hamburg when 10 banana-laden containers fell overboard during a storm.
Green bunches of bananas from Cuba washed ashore on two Dutch North Sea islands.
The container fall also left a football-size hole in a 170-tonne tank. The hole was above the water line. But it didn’t cause oil pollution.
The Duncan Island is listed in the fleet of Antwerp-based Trireme Vessel Management.
