Canada Transpacific Stabilization Agreement lines to hike BAF and CAF surcharges

Container lines participating in the Canada Transpacific Stabilization Agreement (CTSA) plan to raise their fuel recovery surcharges on August 1.

The increases will be as follows: US$1,012, up from $904, per TEU; $1,265, up from $1,130, per FEU; $1,423, up from $1,271, per FEU high-cube; $1,601, up from $1,431, per 45-footer and $28 up from $25 weight-measure adjustment.

Starting August 1, CTSA's currency adjustment factor will become eight per cent, from seven per cent, reports the American Shipper.

CTSA member lines are: APL, Cosco Container Lines, Evergreen Line, Hanjin Shipping, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, K Line, MOL, NYK Line, OOCL, Yang Ming and Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd.
