Aker Yards delivered second 1700 TEU container ship

Aker Yards Germany delivered a container ship of the type Aker CS 1700 which fulfils the latest international requirements. This is the second out of two vessels of this type ordered by the Hamburg (Germany) based Carsten Rehder Schiffsmakler und Reederei GmbH & Co. Yard number 155 was named BARENTS STRAIT by Brigitte Offergeld-Rehder, spouse of Thomas Rehder, Managing Owner of Carsten Rehder shipping company, on Saturday, 5 July in Wismar. The ship will leave the yard on Wednesday, 9 July with destination Liverpool (UK) where it will load its first cargo to East Asia.
