Port of New Orleans throughput down one percent in the first four months

Port of New Orleans container throughput at 80,500 TEUs fell one percent in the first four months compared with the previous year.

Volume has still not yet reached pre-Katrina levels. The port was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

The port generated US$36.6 million in operating revenue in the current fiscal year.
