China's fixed asset investment up 25.6% in Jan-May

China's urban fixed-asset investment rose 25.6 percent year-on-year to 4.0264 trillion yuan (575.2 billion U.S. dollars) in the first five months of 2008, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Tuesday.

The figure represents a slight drop of 0.3 percentage points over the same period of last year.
