Deadlines and quality standards must be strictly met in the current construction of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline and contractors who failed to meet their commitments be taken to task on the full scale, President Dmitry Medvedev demanded on Monday according to Interfax.
There must be no failures either as regards deadlines or as regards quality, Medvedev said at a meeting in the Kremlin with Nikolai Tokarev, president of Russian state pipeline operator Transneft.
Contractors who have failed to carry out their assignments must be taken to task on the full scale by filing lawsuits and demanding necessary money if it has been paid in advance, Medvedev said.
