Old Dominion offers LCL service in Taichung, Keelung, Kaohsiung ports

OLD Dominion Freight Line has started offering its Pacific Promise less-than-container load service at the Taiwanese ports of Taichung, Keelung and Kaohsiung, in addition to the 10 ports in China where the service is already provided.


The service offers importers standard guaranteed transit times and simplified rates from the 13 Chinese and Taiwanese ports to any US destination. The offering also includes port-to-door tracking of all shipments.


It said the company has experienced more than 30 per cent growth per year in shipments from China and Taiwan and expects shipments from Taiwan to rise by 16 per cent over the next five years.


The service targets importers of high-value products, time-sensitive goods and seasonal or promotional items, and is also geared towards companies that are shipping from a single origin to multiple destinations.
