NCC reports 6.6% growth in throughput

The throughput of First Container Terminal (FCT, St.Petersburg) in January-May 2011 amounted to 484,671 TEU (+6.6% comp. to January-May 2010). In May FCT’s record turnover performance reached 115,295 TEU (+13% comp. to May 2010).

Since the beginning of the year the container traffic between FCT and NCC’s off-dock terminal in Shushary (Logistika-Terminal) has been growing steadily. Today, after “dry port” technology launch, FCT can use its off-dock facility as an additional storage area for customs clearance, storage and distribution. In January-May 2011 the turnover between FCT and LT reached 10,374 TEU.

The total throughput of Logistika-Terminal (LT, St.Petersburg) in January-May 2011 was 35,148 TEU. In May LT handled 8,865 TEU.
