On May 26, 2011, Berth 101-B (length - 257 m, depth - 11,5 m) was commissioned at the container terminal of JSC Fourth Stevedoring Company (FSC), the Seaport St. Petersburg’s press service said.
With the new berth launch overall length of quay wall of the terminal has increased to 477 m. Now the container terminal is able to handle two boxships at a time.
The container terminal owned by Fourth Stevedoring Company is equipped with 4 STS container cranes, 10 RTG cranes, several forklift trucks of lifting capacity up to 3 tons and other equipment. The terminal transshipped on December 25, 2010 first cargoes upon upgrade of its facilities. Currently, the terminal handles container ships of Team Lines, APL, Sea Connect, Maersk Line, MSC, Delta Shipping Lines. Since its launch the terminal had handled (as of May 25, 2011) 24,650 TEUs of containerized cargo.
