China Air Cargo awaits Aerotropolis tax bill before closing deal

2011-05-30 00:00:00

CHINA Air Cargo finished a three-day visit to review the logistics of flights from Lambert-St Louis International to Shanghai in discussions of maintenance and ground operations but left without signing an agreement on the China hub.

The progress by Missouri lawmakers on the US$360 million package of Aerotropolis tax credits, which offers breaks for freight forwarders and development of hub-related in gateway zones around the airport, is of much interest to the Chinese delegation from Beijing, reported the St Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Missouri Legislature ended its session this month but Lambert backers are pushing to revive the bill, said airport director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge.
