Hubei's cargo volume surges 140.6pc in first four months

CENTRAL China's Hubei province recorded a cargo transportation volume of 7.27 million tonnes during the period from January to April, an upswing of 140.6 per cent over the same period in the preceding year.


International laden container transportation volume grew 24.6 per cent to 92,000 TEU, Xinhua reports.


The number of inbound and outbound air travellers rose 31.6 per cent to 125,221 persons in the province and aircraft movement increased 15.7 per cent to 1,069 flights.
