Qinzhou Free Trade Port Area's quarterly trade value hits US$7.82 million

SOUTHEAST China's Guangxi Qinzhou Fee Trade Port Area recorded a trade value of US$7.82 million in the first quarter since it operated in February this year, reports Xinhua.


The imports stood at $7.66 million while the exports came to $1.58 million. The port area's container throughput grew 18 per cent to 73,401 TEU in the first quarter.


Qinzhou port offers four to five services to Hong Kong transferring to ports worldwide every week and domestic service to coastal ports and the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River. It plans to enlarge the service network covering Singapore, Port Klang and Kaohsiung.
