Safe Passage International offers air cargo screening training scheme

2011-05-24 00:00:00

SAFE Passage International has established an air cargo screening training and compliance programme designed for companies screening elevated risk cargo (ERC) bound for the United States.

The programme uses computer based, instructor led, and hands-on training, and provides all of the course material, job aids, and instructor kits needed for clients to deliver and manage the programme, the company said in a statement.

It offers training for multiple screening methodologies including physical search, explosive trace detection (ETD), and advanced technology (AT) x-ray.

"The Air Cargo Screening Training and Compliance Programme is created to support current and emerging cargo screening requirements worldwide," said Charles Forty, director of product development. "The training programme can easily be adapted to country, industry and client-specific needs."

It said clients in over 20 countries are already using its air cargo screening training and compliance programme to comply with US air cargo requirements for screening ERC.
