Chittagong port restores CMA CGM's 48-hour Wednesday window berthing

THE Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) is to restore every Wednesday 48-hour window berthing to the French carrier CMA CGM following its withdrawal due to severe berthing congestion.


"It will cut the lead time of importers and exporters as our vessels will arrive at the port at a certain time every week and also depart at a fixed time," he said of operations at Bangladesh's biggest port which handles 1.5 million TEU at year, 90 per cent from external trade.
