SOUTHERN Hainan provincial ports recorded an inbound trade cargo volume of 3.27 million tonnes during the first three months of this year, up 12.3 per cent compared to the same period in 2010, Xinhua reports.
In contrast to the robust increase in inbound cargo, the island province's outbound trade cargo volume plunged 34.4 per cent to only 246,600 tonnes.
The report said the situation is the result of China's effort in adjusting import and export structure to balance trade surplus and deficit.
