The ship designed by Denmark-based Carl Bro Co meets the rules and regulations of the DMV International Registration Bureau (IRB) and latest International Convention on Maritime.
Ha Long Shipbuilding Industry Ltd Co (under the Vietnam National Shipbuilding Industry Group-Vinashin) on May 10 successfully launched the 53,000 tone cargo ship-HL14 named Anna Bolten to export for German Orange Ocean Co.
This is the eighth ship in the series of 53,000 tone ships built and exported by Ha Long shipyard.
The 53,000 tonne cargo ship – HL 14 has the greatest length of 190 meters and the width of 32.26 meters, Depth 17.50 meters, waterline at 12.60 metre, cargo hold capacity of 65,700 cubic metres, main engine MAN B&W 9,480 KW; designed as double bottom, double side with 5 cargo holds.
As planned, after the successful launching for the 53,000 tone cargo ship -HL14, in May 2011, Ha Long shipyard will continue to build another 53,000 tone cargo ship-HL16 for Thailand-based Thoresen Thai Co and launch the 1,800 TEU container ship, the largest container ship being built by Vietnam Maritime Corp in Vietnam so far.
