AIR China Singapore plans to establish a joint marketing alliance with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) to tap into its "vast number of potential credit card members," in a bid to develop the carrier's high end travel market.
This comes in the wake of the airline increasing its investment in its flight capacity on the Singapore to Beijing route, in particular, raising the capacity of first and business class seats by 30 per cent since March, said a company statement.
"Through the channels of ICBC, we at Air China Singapore believe that we can develop and expand the high end travellers' market with an effective marketing campaign showcasing Air China's latest products targeting ICBC's credit card members, thereby increasing the revenue on Air China Singapore routes," said company spokesman Wu Tong.
