German airline Lufthansa saw its net loss widen to US$753 million in the January-March period compared with $442.6 million a year earlier, despite an increase in revenue.
The company said the increase was due to measurement effects for hedging options, reported Associated Press Newswires.
Lufthansa said first-quarter revenues increased to $9.51 billion from $8.61 billion. Its operating loss narrowed by $152.98 million to $337.15 million.
It says it "continues to anticipate a year-on-year increase in revenue and operating result."
