First ferry calls at the Port Marine Facade this year

The Silja Festival ferry (operator Expo-Tour) docked today at the passenger port "Marine Facade". The ferry arrival has opened the navigation of 2011, the port developer, "Marine Facade" company said. 


The cruise ferry, en route from St. Petersburg - Helsinki - Stockholm - Tallinn - St Petersburg, sets sail from the port this evening.


The construction of ferry terminals of "Marine Facade" began in 2006. The port’s first phase was launched in 2008 (a cruise terminal and two piers). In 2009-2010 – there were 3 more piers commissioned (the cruise and ferry terminals). The port project completion is scheduled for this May (construction of last 7 berths). The investment in the project will amount to RUB 18 billion, including 10 billion rubles of private investments and 8 billion rubles - from the federal budget.
