CENTRAL China's Chongqing city has signed an investment agreement with China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) to build first phase of west Chongqing's city beltway, reports Xinhua.
The 30-kilometre ring road linking Tongliang to Hechuan will cost US$258 million to be spent over the next five years. It will be built by a design of four lanes designed for speeds of 80 kilometres per hour.
The ring road will be 475 kilometres long and covers 12 districts and counties in west Chongqing. It will form a "one hour economic zone' for the city.
