The Thai Cabinet has approved a plan by Thai Airways to procure 75 aircraft by 2022, Transport Minister Sophon Zaram said today.
He told Dow Jones that the Cabinet set a budget for the procurement at US$15.25 billion.
Under the plan, 37 aircraft will be procured between this year and 2017, with 38 to be procured during the remaining period, he said.
Thai Airways is 51 percent owned by the government.
