LOGISTICS provider Agility has announced that it will move its Asia Pacific regional headquarters from Hong Kong to Singapore by mid-2012.
But Greater China headquarters will remain in Hong Kong headed by CEO James Gagne.
"Following the announcement made in 2009 about Agility establishing an Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, we have decided to consolidate our regional senior management team in the Lion City," said Asia Pacific CEO Hans Hickler.
This consolidation will bring the Asia Pacific regional team together. "Singapore was chosen to be the new headquarters location because of its strategic position in the Asia Pacific region and its accessibility to customers and field offices," a company statement said.
The company's chairman and managing director Tarek Sultan said, "We are excited to be extending our relationship with Singapore, which offers excellent connectivity and an open business environment."
