Seaspan takes delivery of 8,495-TEU COSCO Prince Rupert

HONG KONG based Seapan, with major management offices in the Marshall Islands and Vancouver, has taken delivery of its seventh of eight 8,495-TEU ships since May 2007 built by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), its third delivery in 2011.


The COSCO Prince Rupert is on a long-term charter of 12 years extendable by up to three more years by Cosco to be deployed on its transpacific SEA service operated with Hanjin.
