Throughput at Fujian ports up nearly 11% in January

Ports in east China's Fujian Province reported a cargo throughput of 28.47 million tonnes in January, a 10.9 percent year-on-year rise, according to the provincial transport authorities, reported Xinhua.


Their container throughput went up 12.1 percent year-on-year to 783,000 TEUs.


The total cargo throughput included 6.1 million tonnes in Fuzhou port, up 3.2 percent year-on-year, and 13.27 million tonnes in Xiamen port, up 3.6 percent.


The container throughput included 125,000 TEUs in Fuzhou port, up 10.9 percent year-on-year, and 538,000 TEUs in Xiamen port, up 14.5 percent.
