Maersk cancels Panama Canal transits fee

DANISH shipping giant Maersk Line is to cancel a fee due to start March 1 on all shipments transiting the Panama Canal.


No reason was given for the cancellation by the shipping line of the fee it announced early February of US$20 per TEU and $40 per FEU transit fee.
