MSC takes delivery of 12,500-TEU MSC Lauren

GENEVA's Mediterranean Shipping Company has taken delivery of the MSC Lauren, second of nine ships of 12,500 TEU ordered in August 2007 from Korea's STX Shipyard by the Niki Group (Greece) for US$159 million each.

The MSC Laurent has joined the Far East-North Europe Lion loop, following the MSC Beryl which came into service last September, reports Alphaliner.
