2011-01-18 00:00:00

Total cargo traffic volumes in the Port of Helsinki were 10.9 million tonnes.

The Port of Helsinki was the largest container port for the second year in a row and its market share was 33.3 %. It was also the largest truck and trailer port, with a 57 % market share.

Tallinn was still the most popular destination. Of the passengers, 71 % travelled on the Tallinn route, 24 % on the Stockholm route, 3 % in the Travemьnde and Rostock route, and the rest in the St. Petersburg and Gdynia route.

There were 342,000 passengers in international cruise traffic, which is 5 % less than in the previous year.
