GENEVA's Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) will commence a West Africa feeder service connecting ports in Liberia and Sierra Leone to Cote d'Ivoire from early February.
The dedicated feeder will deploy one vessel every 10 days to provide a port rotation of San Pedro (Cote d'Ivoire), Monrovia (Liberia), Freetown (Sierra Leone) and San Pedro, reports American Shipper.
The carrier said the feeder will connect San Pedro with Europe with transshipment at Valencia and Las Palmas, according to the report.
The shipping line plans to initially use OBT Shipping, Ltd as its agent for both Liberia and Sierra Leone, and to later "establish MSC Agency Offices in both countries."
