Guangxi, an autonomous region in south western China, forecasts that its Qinzhou port area's annual throughput capacity will rise to 100 million tonnes by 2013.
In the coming three years, Guangxi's Beibu Gulf Port will complete eight 100,000-tonne container berths, two 300,000-tonne and two 100,000-tonne crude oil berths, two 200,000-tonne and nine 150,000-tonne ore and bulk cargo berths.
Two berths of 100,000 tonnes for oil have been completed in the Qinzhou port area now and are expected to start operation by the end of the year.
