Korean Air sees contraction in freight traffic

Freight traffic is looking ahead to a contraction or a minor increase, said Korean Air.


Korean Air's freight performance for October was 114,000 tonnes, which is five percent higher than October last year. However, projections for November freight traffic is set at 69,000 tonnes, which will be 7.8 percent lower than last year, reported Maeil Business.


For Asiana Airlines, total freight posted was 58,000 tonnes in October, which is a similar performance to October of last year. Freight for November is expected to rise by a mere 2.2 percent.
