Net profit of Commercial Port of Vladivostok up 3.3 times to RUR 227.9 mln in 2007

In 2007, net profit of Commercial Port of Vladivostok amounted to RUR 227.9 million (up 3.3 times, year-on-year), the company’s annual report reads. In the reported period, the revenue totaled RUR 1.27 billion (+34%, year-on-year).

In 2007, Commercial Port of Vladivostok handled 4.865.3 million tonnes of cargo (+20.6%, year-on-year). According to the company, negative dynamics of metal export, which was typical for the last three years, was compensated due to attraction of high-technology and high-price cargoes like containers, automobiles and specialized equipment.

In the first quarter of 2008, the company’s revenue amounted to RUR 458.3 million (+80%, year-on-year), net profit grew almost 2.5 times to almost RUR 63 million.
