The Good-Food Group, the largest supplier of nuts and dried fruits in Russia, has selected Kuehne + Nagel as their logistics partner for the global sourcing and domestic distribution of their products.
In the scope of the new agreement, Kuehne + Nagel has tailored a dedicated door-to-door seafreight intermodal service to the specific needs of the Good-Food Group.
The full-service logistics provider transports the sensitive goods, such as nuts and dried fruits, to almost all Russian national and regional retail chains from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok.
The products originate from numerous locations around the globe such as Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Ho Chi Minh City, Los Angeles, Oakland, Valparaiso, and Qingdao. They are transported to the ports of Kotka and St Petersburg and arrive at destinations such as Moscow and other cities all over Russia.
Those various locations call for high expertise in order management to efficiently control stock volumes and to oversee the status of the goods at any time.
"Kuehne + Nagel's global logistics network offers us services at all vital origin and destination points. They also provide dedicated teams who are closely and specifically involved in our dried fruit and nuts shipments," said Vasily Ershov, head of logistics at Good-Food Group in Russia.
Perry Neumann, managing director of Kuehne + Nagel Russia and Belarus, said FMCG was one of the company's focus industries in Russia.
