Maersk feeder service MCC adds extra Bangladesh ship

DUE to severe congestion at Chittagong, MCC, the wholly-owned unit of AP Moller-Maersk, is to add a Bangladesh Feeder Service BAN-5 to its existing BAN-1 services.

The weekly BAN-5 service is on a 14-day port rotation deploying two 1,100-TEU ships, the Cape Scott and the Asian Trader covering Tanjung Pelepas, Chittagong and Tanjung Pelepas.

It offers direct service and will provide alternative cut-off for all cargo moving into and out of Chittagong, with connections to the carrier's network at Tanjung Pelepas.
