AZOV SEA PORT in Russia's Rostov Region, linked to the Black Sea, has achieved a 37 per cent increase year on year in the volume of cargo it handled between January and September.
The trade gateway handled 1.1 million tons of cargo in the nine-month period, said the Russian Transport Daily Report.
Since opening its container terminal in August, the port handled 1,500 TEU. The port expects to increase its container throughput three fold by year's end.
