Suifenhe customs posts 67.4pc cargo value boost in first 8 months

CUSTOMS of Suifenhe, a city on the Sino-Russian border in north eastern China's Heilongjiang province, handled 5.13 million tonnes of trade cargo from January to August, up 8.6 per cent year on year, while value of these cargo surged 67.4 per cent to US$1.6 billion, said Xinhua.

Imported cargo weighted 4.77 million tonnes, up 6.7 per cent with their value increased 40.8 per cent to $900 million. Exported cargo volume grew 41 per cent to 360,000 tonnes. Their value rocketed 123 per cent to $690 million.
