SINGAPORE Changi Airport has earned six Best Airport awards in August and September, strengthening its status as the world's most awarded airport.
In Britain and the US, three new awards are conferred: Best Airport in the World from the British Business Traveller in its Business Traveller Awards, Best Airport in the World from Conde Nast Traveller (UK) in its Reader's Travel Awards 2010, and Best International Airport from Conde Nast Traveler (US) in its Annual Business Travel Awards.
In Asia, three other awards are received: Best Airport in the World from Business Traveller Asia-Pacific in its Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Awards 2010, Best International Airport from TravelWeekly China in its China Travel and Meeting Industry Awards 2010, and being ranked top in the Top 10 Airports Worldwide category by online travel magazine Smart Travel in its 2010 Best in Travel Poll.
"These awards reflect the views of some of the most frequent travellers from around the world and the Asia-Pacific region. For Changi Airport Group, the accolades we receive serve as a powerful form of feedback from our passengers that they do enjoy themselves at Changi Airport and appreciate what we have been doing here," said CEO of Changi Airport Group Mr Lee Seow Hiang.
The Changi Airport has won more than 350 airport awards since its inception in 1981. Also, it currently serves 91 airlines flying to more than 200 cities in about 60 countries and territories worldwide.
